We're seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer (Java/React) is a problem solver that leverages technology to solve difficult problems at scale.
They work with others across the business to understand customer needs and develop high value solutions.
They are accountable for the design and implementation of solutions that meet software functional and non-functional requirements and adhere to established development standards.
This role challenges its owner to work quickly and effectively as a team leader, sharing technical knowledge and leading the team to build and deploy high quality software that satisfies our customers.Note: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.The Work You'll DoCompetent in SDLC and an active participant in all major activities (Planning, Stand Up, Story Time, etc.)Develop skills using TDD and CI practicesFunction competently as an individual contributor, completing relatively small tasks independentlyCollaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Development Managers, Quality Assurance, Experience Design, and other technical staff to refine requirements and designsParticipate on cross functional teams to deliver solutions from the point of inception through customer deliveryImprove processes, standards and practicesWork as a team member and with more senior developers on complex stories & tasksPair program effectively with more junior & senior developersDevelop programs consistent with Sovos coding standards & conventionsBuild skill in at least one specific technical expertise (Database, SAP, Web Development, etc.)Competent in at least one Sovos applicationFind and update relevant documentation when developingAble to triage and resolve simple engineering escalationsWork with other team members to solve complex problemsCapable of troubleshooting issues & bugs within their application of expertiseMentor less experienced members of our teamDevelop and enhance the user experience of our applicationsContribute to our component library with well-crafted components that can be used by the entire development team, as well as add to our unit test suite (Karma and Jasmine based)More Specifically, You WillCollaborate in a fast-paced agile environment under tight deadlines to "ship" new releases each sprintTake part in an active culture of learning by exploring new technologies, participating in knowledge shares, attending conferences, and collaborating with local developer bootcampsWhat We Need From YouBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceExperience with Java, React, SpringbootEssential Job Functions:Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customersComprehend and communicate complex conceptsConcentrate, analyze and resolve complex problemsUtilize technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirementsWhat Does Sovos Offer You?
