For more information, please visit www.irevna.com and www.pipalresearch.com The Research Analyst will work with members of the Value Creation team of one of CRISIL’s clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in New York City. They will support the team across a variety of Operational Efficiency projects.\nThis position will emphasize the opportunity to collaborate extensively with the team in a fast-paced and global work environment.\nThe Research Analyst will learn and apply key skills across both (1) due diligence of prospective investments (operational benchmarking, organizational analysis), and (2) portfolio company value creation (including but not limited to cost analysis, organizational analysis and growth strategy).\nKey skills & responsibilities across both diligence and value creation support include:\nOperational and Cost Analysis\n\n
- Review annual company reports and company financial information to rapidly evaluate company’s operational efficiency, business model and strategy.
\n
- Perform public and private company cost benchmarking (e.g. looking at P&L; lines like COGS + OPEX) using Excel/Claude and summarize key findings into client-ready work products (typically PPT).
\n
- Research efficiency benchmarks (like salary benchmarking, cost allocations, best in class practices etc.) for portfolio companies.
\n
- Prepare detailed analysis and presentations to end to end (draft, do analysis, revise) to provide actionable insights and guidance.
\n
- Create Claude skills to make analysis quicker, more insightful and accurate.
\n\nOrganizational Analysis\n\n
- Perform spans and layers analysis and compare organizational structure to competitive organizations and benchmarks.
\n
- Perform organizational benchmarking using tools like LinkedIn Talent Insights, the Org, Revelio, etc.
\n
- Develop financial business case to support changes to organizational structure to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
\n\nPractice building\n\n
- Organize large amounts of data from various sources to create a cohesive database.
\n
- Finding insight in the data by performing excel cuts and creating Claude dashboards.
\n
- Create insightful PPTs to document best-in-class practices and consolidate research findings.
\n
- Create Claude skills to automate database creation, matinenance, analysis and development .
\n
- Research and create case studies for best in class examples.
\n\nRole requirements:\n\n
- Exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to performing analysis.
\n
- Excellent command of both spoken & written English is a minimum.
\n
- Excellent command of P&L; statement.
\n
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
\n
- Experience using Claude/AI tools for: General research and synthesizing key insights; As a thinking partner to validate hypothesis, conclusions, final drafts of work.
