Protection Starts with People.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, performance, and scalability of our protection products. You will design and implement robust automated test suites that support rapid development cycles and global scalability. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly influence product reliability and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites to ensure broad coverage of critical use cases.- Implement and execute test cases for new features, enabling rapid and safe deployments.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA leads, and DevOps engineers to define and refine testing strategies.- Work effectively with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.- Enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Harness and Kubernetes to improve test efficiency and scalability.- Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.- Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to scale and manage test environments.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Cloudbees for early defect detection and seamless releases.- Debug and troubleshoot test failures, collaborating with developers to resolve issues quickly.- Maintain clear and reusable test documentation including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.- Use Jira to track testing progress, report defects, and coordinate testing efforts.- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in test automation.Required Qualifications- 5–8 years of experience in test automation.- Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language (Python preferred).- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS ,or Azure .- Strong understanding of version control systems, especially Git .- Experience using Jira or similar project management tools.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Behave).- Experience optimizing test automation frameworks for scalability and performance.- Experience testing non-functional requirements such as Security, Resilience, Scalability, High Availability and Performance.Why ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
