- Define service level objectives and work to achieve them.
- Keep our systems scalable through automation.
- Ensure quick response to incidents that affect the service you maintain by being on-call.**Your day-to-day activities**:- Proactively detect and solve incidents.
- Create and review incident reports.
- Proactive capacity planning.
- Build and maintain service observability, as well as alarms and their runbooks.**About you**:- Work experience in production environments and software development.
- Analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong background in Linux, distributed-systems, monitoring and infrastructure automation.
- Fluency in one backend programming language (Java, PHP, Python, Go).
- Experience with a virtualization platform (Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, or VMWare) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).**Some more details about us**:- We use Splunk for our on-call rotation.
- We run our infrastructure in KVM, AWS, OpenStack and Kubernetes.
- We use Terraform, Puppet for managing our VMs and Kubernetes for containerized workloads.
- We use GitLab and Jenkins for CI/CD.
