- *Your Key Responsibilities**\nThe Business Manager works in a team reporting into the lead business manager for one of the functions of Enterprise Technology and is responsible for business management of their respective function. The business manager will be assigned to a specific leader in the Enterprise Technology Organisation. These individuals are generally directors.\nThe Business Manager role supports effective financial management across their area of the enterprise technology business. Business managers will be involved in activities such as- financial management

- vendor support
- product management support
- general running of the businessKey responsibilities include\n- Collaborate and build trusted and effective working relationships with service owners, project managers, and various members within own and other supporting functions
- Partner with a specific ET team to understand their portfolio, product, business strategy, prioritization, etc. to facilitate quality service delivery.
- Work with the Business Office Lead for your area to ensure all key business management processes related to finance, resourcing, Source to Pay, Supplier Relationship Management and Project Delivery are followed and that accurate plans and forecasts are prepared in line with the financial calendar
- Perform detailed analysis of capital and purchased services spending for existing or planned services and/or projects
- Identify Risks and Opportunities in your area of scope
- Oversee FY Plan and forecasting activities
- Monitor and report on presente and projected spend to ensure function operates within FY Plan/Outlook – function, portfolio, and program/project levels.
- Monitor and report on program/project financials to ensure project managers are managing financials in accordance with sound financial principles and recommend corrective actions
- Drive the implementation and embedding of process, methods and best practice into service and portfolio activities for the function, including project management, financial management, resource management, etc.
- Drive best practice through the champion networks and knowledge coordination
- Drive innovation, speed and quality across the organization
- Other tasks or special projects as may be assigned from time-to-timePeople- May supervise one or more BM analysts or junior BMs
- Works as required to improve:
- Selection and performance management of staff members
- Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance
- Ensure training and development of staff members
- Support staff members directly or indirectly in their roles

- Strong organizational skills with experience of managing processes.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with rigid delivery dates
- Experience in working in a global environment and an ability to interact with different cultures
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences and influence multiple stakeholders
- Strong client-service oriented communication, documentation, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong expertise of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel inc formula creation, pivot tables, vlookup; Word; PowerPoint)
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of formulas, creation of pivot tables, vlookup and advanced financial functions
- English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrates ability to define and manage processes\nKnowledge required beyond the job:\n- Working knowledge of EY tools such as PPM and Apptio would be an asset
- Keen interest in technology and technology-driven service-oriented businesses\nProblem Solving\n
- This role requires ability to clearly define problems, their main drivers, and next steps to implement potential solutions. Typical challenges that Business Managers are dealing with are related to identifying potential discrepancies in the forecasting story provided by their portfolios in comparison to the available data. BM role is to challenge their stakeholders (Director/Associate Director) to explain any gaps and escalate if needed.
