- Assist in developing and implementing regional strategies for the Natural Resources sector, focusing on Power Generation, Energy, and Renewable Energy & Alternative Fuels.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's footprint in the region.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
- Financial Oversight:
- Support budget planning and financial management to achieve regional financial targets.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and strengthen relationships with brokers, industry bodies, business partners, re insurers and colleagues, to maximise influence and achieve business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance its reputation and influence.
- Team Leadership and Practice Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other lines of business.
- Sustainability and Compliance:
- Promote and integrate sustainable practices across all operations, aligning with the company's Climate+ initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Prepare and present reports on regional performance and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the Natural Resources sector, with a focus on Power Generation, Energy, and Renewable Energy.
- Proven track record in a managerial role with experience in Latin America.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and market dynamics in the region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and renewable energy initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
