This role is pivotal in ensuring that the hotel attracts, retains, and develops top talent while maintaining a culture of excellence, engagement, and growth.
- Exemplify and lead the Company Service and Brand Culture initiatives
- Act as the Strategic Business Partner and functional Subject Matter Expert to Senior Hotel Leadership
- Align and execute People & Culture activities to Employee Value Proposition and Strategic plan
- Oversee talent & culture initiatives, acting as a liaison between corporate office and hotel
- Collaborate with corporate People & Culture function on key programs/initiatives
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the People & Culture Department
- Lead labor relations initiatives
- Promote positive employee relations, overall employee experience, and drive employee engagement through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and fun
- 4+ years’ experience as a Director, People & Culture / Human Resources (in both union and non-union settings)
- Passionate about promoting company values and creating programming that supports a positive workplace culture
- Collaborative team player, with excellent influencing skills with the ability to build relationships easily amongst various stakeholder groups
- Solid understanding of Puerto Rico employment laws
- University/College degree in a related discipline, or combination of education and experience
- Proven success in leading strategic initiatives that positively impact hotel KPIs
- Must be fluent in Spanish
