You will be responsible for leading the Trade Marketing function, developing and leading the Trade Marketing Strategy, ensuring alignment with Brands’ Strategy and excellence in the execution of all Clorox Brands at the Market delivering superior results.The Trade Marketing Manager also leads the interaction with all functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply) & Customers.The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for improving sales capabilities through the creation of quality sales tools, tactics, plans, information and analysis.In this role, you will:
Trade Spending & Pricing - The TMM and his / her department will own Trade Spending and Price List planning, execution and tracking. This manager will work with Sales Director, Marketing and cross-functionally to obtain the funding need to support customers and brand execution expectations. On an on-going basis, the TMM will work to develop plans / processes to improve the efficiency of Trade Spending. This manager will develop / manage tracking systems that enable a complete understanding and analysis of Trade Spending. He or she will be accountable for creating Trade Spending processes that are performance based and limit the level of TS investment. He or She will also be responsible for pricing recommendations that maximize Profit and Sales.AMPS (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, Shelving) - The TMM will be the Sales owner of AMPS. This manager will work cross-functionally to develop and track in-store (AMPS) objectives. He or she will be accountable for reporting to the Director of Sales and local leadership team key AMPS conclusions and ideas on how to improve results. The TMM will create and improve existing processes for setting AMPS objectives, as well as improving execution. Forecasting - The TMM will be the Key Sales referent for the S&OP; Process, providing sales information to the process.Category Management - The TMM will own the creation of the Category Management approach, materials and resources for the market in order to deliver break-through results at customers. Key to his or her success will be an ability to match customer’s ability to execute and understand CM concepts with Clorox’s capabilities and resources. He or she will also need to work closely with Marketing and other functions to ensure they capture the most relevant / powerful consumer insights.Merchandising - The TMM will be the Sales owner of the Merchandising budget. The TMM will be responsible for analyzing and developing the merchandising organization, retail coverage, routing and work methodology that are most effective and cost efficient as well as lead to superior execution at retail.Internal Controls - The TMM will own the creation, maintenance and communication of the Sales policies and procedures. He or she will be responsible for the monthly controls and reporting to FRC, as well as the quarterly self-assessment.What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:- University Degree preferably in Business Administration. MBA advantageous.
- 5-7 years experience in Trade Marketing Role as People Manager, Sales experience preferred. Marketing experience a plus/not necessary.
- Spanish and English fluency required
- Demonstrated excellent work relationships with internal and external contacts
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational and creative thinking skills are required.
- Demonstrated abilities in leading, decision making.
- Abilities to work through multiple tasks simultaneously (multitask), manage time efficiently and work independently.
- Demonstrated analytical skills used to uncover business opportunities and manage day-to-day business issues.Skills and Abilities:- Personally passionate/ interest in Trade Marketing Role/Sales
- Working knowledge of all core operating functional areas, including Finance, Sales, and Product Supply (experience interacting with those areas)
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach. Need to be practical (street-smart)
