This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a purpose-driven organization that's reimagining medicine and improving lives.About the RoleKey ResponsibilitiesDefine and optimize cluster study start-up strategy in alignment with global and local prioritiesLead timely execution of start-up activities from country allocation to site initiation readinessCollaborate with IRBs, IECs, and Health Authorities to ensure regulatory complianceOversee trial allocation, initiation, and conduct to meet country-specific commitmentsEnsure accuracy and inspection readiness of Trial Master File documentationPromote adherence to financial, ethical, and regulatory standards across all operationsImplement innovative processes aligned with Novartis strategy to enhance efficiencyFoster a culture of compliance and ethical integrity in clinical trial executionManage hiring, training, and development of the Study Start-Up teamMonitor team productivity and serve as escalation point for operational challengesUniversity degree in a scientific or health-related disciplineMinimum 8 years of experience in clinical operations and planningAt least 4 years of experience in people management and team leadershipStrong understanding of clinical trial setup, execution, and monitoringIn-depth knowledge of international standards including GCP/ICH and regulatory frameworksProven ability to lead teams in a global or matrixed environmentFluent in both written and spoken English and local country languageExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExperience working with international teams in a global pharmaceutical environmentFamiliarity with digital tools and platforms used in clinical trial managementWhy Novartis: Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
