The opportunity\nRisk Management Services (RMS) is an internal function within EY GDS (Global Delivery services), responsible for protecting the organization from the risks that may arise from its professional practice. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify and manage risks, providing coordinated advice and assistance on suite of services like Independence, Conflicts, Compliance, regulatory, policy and security issues as well as dealing with claims and queries regarding ethics. Formed in 2007, the RMS team is growing rapidly as a Center of Excellence for all standardized quality/compliance related activities.\nThis role will be part of the largest sub-service functions, , Independence within Risk Management Services (RMS) responsible for assisting EY professionals to maintain auditor objectivity by identifying and mitigating any potential conflicts of interest that could compromise an auditor's independence.\nRMS Independence team is currently 950+ people strong, operating from 3 countries and 5 centers’: India (Gurugram, Kochi, Bengaluru), Poland (Wroclaw), Philippines (Manila). The team is closely integrated with Global Independence and has been involved in development of key Independence processes.\nThis role provides a dynamic and growth-oriented environment where you'll contribute to safeguarding EY's reputation as an independent auditor. You'll support EY professionals, collaborating closely with integral and regional stakeholders. This will involve strengthening the personal independence framework, fostering a continuous global mindset, and enabling clients through effective team management, stakeholder engagement, and streamlined process management.\nYou'll also play a key role in developing and motivating your team members to achieve their full potential.\nYour key responsibilities A Manager / Senior Manager in the RMS Independence PICT team will lead 40-50 high performing individuals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.\nYour role involves working closely with EY professionals as well as Global and Regional stakeholders to strengthen the personal independence compliance framework, spearheading continuous improvement at process level. By effectively managing your team, engaging with stakeholders, and optimizing our processes, you will contribute significantly to EY's success.\nTechnical expertise\n- Build expertise in personal independence processes and policies, coordinating with regional and global stakeholders/ professionals to effectively address various inquiries.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory policies like EYG and local country policies and industry best practices related to auditor independence.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of personal independence concepts, including financial interests, family relations, and business relationships.
- Lead multiple projects, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication with team members, stakeholders and senior management
- Ensure adherence to project management by proactively tracking progress, identify and mitigate potential risks and issues
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall effectiveness of the Personal Independence process.
- Be abreast of emerging knowledge, trends and lessons learned. Creates and delivers presentations to communicate new regulatory landscapes and resulting impacts to engagement teams and Independence team members.
- Cultivate strong relationships with diverse customer groups and stakeholders across various EY geographies to ensure exceptional support and client satisfaction.
Client/Stakeholder Management\n\n- Actively engage with global and regional Independence stakeholders to implement any process changes, enhancements and improvement to ensure their expectations are met
- Develop effective conflict resolution and escalation management strategies to address and resolve any issues or escalations promptly and professionally
- Meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and strengthen Delivery Excellence model effectively
Operations Management\n- Participate in financial forecasting and resource allocation planning.
- Engage in reporting activities to support operational transparency.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to strategic priorities/initiatives to drive success and growth within the global EY landscape.
People management\n- Responsible to manage/lead a team of 40-50 professionals
- Oversee resource management, talent acquisition and workload management across all locations.
- Build relationship across differentservice lines and sub service lines to seek cross training and utilization opportunities.
