As a QA Engineer III you will work closely with Sovos customers and team members to ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer. A QA Engineer III leverages Sovos Quality best practices to improve the efficiency of their team and increase quality of their product.
- What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?_
- Identifies areas for improvement in testing concepts and personal development gaps, and proactively addresses them.
- Maintains QA Best Practices under high-pressure situations.
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a module in a product.
- Actively participates in sprint planning to assist in prioritization and estimation of stories.
- Ensures automated tests are consistently included in each test suite execution.
- Enhances efficiency of automated tests and inspires the team to achieve high-quality results.
- Ensures automated tests are integrated into continuous integration processes.
- Ensures the team contributes to the stability of automated tests.
- Participates in the onboarding process of new team members and supports decision-making.
- Summarizes and communicates acquired knowledge effectively and promptly.
- Communicates complex domain-specific topics, issues, and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Identifies opportunities to optimize Sovos' organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities for enhanced productivity.
- Influences other product and technical teams, including Cloud Ops, InfoSec, Architecture, Org Readiness, and UX teams.
- Contributes to other products within the workflow or lines of business, improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborates effectively to meet team deadlines and commitments.
- Provides constructive feedback to team members and receives feedback positively.
- Handles difficult conversations independently and escalates when necessary.
- Provides clear updates on work status and identifies blockers transparently.
- Encourages innovative approaches and solutions when tackling challenges and opportunities**What Do We Ask of You**:- Demonstrated inclination towards a career in technology
- Academic or work experience in.SQL and/or Python preferred
