That’s what _#LifeAtCummins_ is all about.We are looking for a talented FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER to join our team specializing in TECHNICAL SERVICES for our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS in BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA. (Ruta Panamericana, Km 32,5, Plot 176AT, Buenos Aires, 1618)In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:- Technical advisor on complex Diesel and Gas engine issues, especially in the high-power market (generators), mining, and oil & gas sectors. Key clients:- PGEN - Sullair (High Horsepower Generator Sets) Sullair Arg,
- Maritime - Cummins Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay (Fishing, Inland Waterway Cargo Transportation, Defense (KTA50, QSK50, KTA38, K19, Q19)),
- Mining: Komatsu, Liebherr.
- Key liaison between the distributor and the Cummins factory. Responsible for fault diagnosis, investigation, documentation, and resolution through early warning.
- Map major faults and be responsible for service bulletins relevant to their segment or activities requiring field assistance.
- Key focal point for technical communication flow in the assigned territory.
- Key deliverables for the role: Reduce repair variability, Improve repair quality, Enhance efficiency (Service efficiency, Labor recovery, Customer uptime).
- Responsible for periodic visits to clients, profiling correct support, seeking operational improvements, recommending, training, and identifying technical problems.**Qualifications**To be successful in this role you will need the following:- Strong knowledge in HHP (High Horse Power) engines and/or mid-range engines is essential.
- Experience in Engine Service Engineering or Engine Technical Support.
- Intermediate English proficiency required, advanced desirable due to extensive verbal communication in English, frequent contact with Regional and Global Engineers.
- University degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Technical profile required with experience in engine disassembly.
- Desirable experience in fault assessment, engine repair, engine disassembly and assembly, engine diagnosis.
- Availability to travel 40% per year in Argentina (San Juan, Neuquén), Uruguay, and Paraguay primarily.
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Excel analysis and executive presentation skills.
