The SAP Functional Consultant is a key liaison between Business Analyst and application development.
The role is responsible for determining SAP design and configuration solutions that translate business
needs into development requirements. This individual will be responsible for requirements planning
and management, analyze and validate requirements for new or existing processes, policies, and
information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the
requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals on time and
within budget.Requirements
Project support- Work with internal BA’s and project members to identify business issues, problems and/orenhancements and provide highly innovative and creative solutions that achieve quality and
process improvements with available hardware, software, databases and peripherals.- Translate business requirements into technical requirements, and complete required configuration,system changes to meet these requirements.- Work closely with the development team translating business requirements into developmentrequirements, Complete application solution design documents.- Support unit testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions andexpected results- Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and projectmanagement methodology, architecture and escalate issues if necessary.- Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating ofproposed projects.- Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager orApplication manager.Production Support- Work with internal BA’s and business users to identify and resolve system issues impactingbusiness operations- Work with development teams on identifying root cause of application bugs and resolving in atimely manner.- Support unit and QA testing in identifying test cases and test data for system bugs andenhancements- Adhere to existing change management processes and standards to support system developmentlifecycle.- Contribute innovative, best practice and creative solutions to enhance and optimize currentapplication systems,- Communicate user story or bug status and provide timely escalation of issues.
- 5+ years’ experience in financial industry is required, preferablymortgages.- 5+ year experience in SAP CML
- 5+ years’ experience with SAP projects
- 5+ years’ experience as functional lead in SAP projects
- Experience working in Agile environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing easyintegration with other functional consultants and team
