Global Legal & Compliance envisions to build up shared service capabilities for certain Legal & Compliance services. A strong focus of such shared services will be on planning and conducting internal investigations on potential misconduct regarding a number of defined Compliance areas (Antibribery/Anticorruption, Antitrust, Antidiscrimination, Data Protection, Healthcare Compliance, and Insider Trading) as well as violations of the general level of ethical behavior as defined in Boehringer Ingelheim Code of Conduct.
This role will conduct routine and complex in-depth end-to-end investigations of confidential and sensitive nature on non-compliance incidents, conduct root-cause analysis prepare investigative reports and recommend CAPAs (if possible).
Responsible for working with the Global Internal Investigations team at Headquarters to lead and conduct internal investigations and address non-compliance concerns across all business segments.
In addition to the ongoing investigation service and advice to any investigation resource in South America region, the purpose of the role is to constantly improve and enhance the methodology how to process internal investigation, calibrate risk profiles, measure case handling and service, enhance know-how management.***Tasks and responsabilities**:- Manage multiple complex cases while achieving results.

- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Labor Law, Legal, Works Council, Internal Audit, and the businesses to conduct a prompt, thorough, and fair investigation.
- Effectively work in a matrix organization with Internal Investigation colleagues providing inputs into an investigation partly from SSC and partly from Headquarters.
- Divers Business Partnering: Provide investigation advice and system support to respective region investigation resources.
- Divers Service Landscape: Provide investigation advice with regard to a broad variety of potential non-compliance cases and underlying circumstances.
- Multilingual: Envisioned expansion of L&CSSC; to service investigation processes for greater regions with different language requirements.
- System Proximity: Investigations advice, service and process is driven by system and process routines and requires certain system and tool savviness. Ability to read data and work with analytics which are partly provided by Forensic/Investigation Intelligence experts.***Requirements**:- MBA or Law degree.
- 5+ years of experience, either in conducting and/or managing internal investigations on different matters, jurisdictions and geographies in the English language at The Big Four or an international law firm or internal investigations in-house department or law enforcement agencies.
- Proven track record in conducting complex investigations and interviews as well as interrogations (e.g. related to Bribery and Corruption (FCPA, UKBA, etc.), Healthcare Compliance, Data Privacy, Antitrust, Discrimination, and Code of Conduct).
- Excellent experience conducting investigations that will withstand legal scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions.
- Profound experience identifying relevant legal issues.
- Excellent experience summarizing and documenting investigations findings and recommendations, and; presenting those findings and recommendations to leadership or those with dissenting opinions.
- Excellent experience in interacting with (senior) management also in high pressure situations.
- Profound knowledge and experience of investigation documentation requirements and quality standards especially in order to ensure the usability of results in legal proceedings and by court. English Level: Advanced.LI-Hybrid
