Location: ArgentinaThe RoleDesign and develop a robust, scalable and sophisticated Cloud Apps Security Platform, which detects suspicious activity in real-time, analyzes, infers and acts upon unsecured user actions. Use and teach the best methodologies for high quality designing, coding and testing. Be part of a team facing engineering challenges in a dynamic environment.Your day-to-dayDesign and develop the backend of a distributed reactive messaging-based system, using open-source technologiesCoding in Java and Scala and working with streaming frameworks like Kafka and Akka stream, working with AWS services such as OpenSearch, DynamoDB and more.Build and deploy applications and components in a cloud-based environment (AWS)Working closely with the QA to monitor and support a critical production system used by clients around the worldUnderstand the domain of cloud applications and cloud securityWhat you bring to the teamDeep knowledge in Computer Science and EngineeringAt least 5 years in hands-on software developmentTrack record in full product life cycle, from design to production, building 24x7 systems, preferably SaaS (or web) – essentialExperience with building scalable, reliable and resilient distributed systemsExperience in working with streaming frameworks - Big advantageExpertise with Scala/Java and running JVM based systems in production environmentsAn academic degree in relevant technical fieldSuperb communication skills (both oral and written) in EnglishWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
