- Work closely with the rest of the Legal Department to develop and maintain an inventory of legal obligations for JPMorgan Chase’s businesses in the Latin American region (mainly Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) and respond to questions from the business and corporate functions about the legal obligations.
- Monitor, identify, and document changes in legal and regulatory developments for the Latin American region (mainly Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), as necessary, including providing written summaries to the Legal Department, the business, and other corporate functions.
- Research and analyze laws, regulations and rules to assess applicability and impact to JPMorgan Chase.
- Promote evergreen efforts of the inventory, focusing on quality assurance, consistency, completeness, and accuracy of legal obligations.
- Assist with the development of policies, procedures and controls.
- Work closely with technology partners to develop technology solutions to support the team’s work.**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Lawyer qualified to practice in one of the following jurisdictions Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.
- English fluency (written and spoken) is a must.
- Background in financial services regulation or supporting another highly regulated business.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely summarize legal and regulatory developments

- Ability to develop strong relationships with the business, corporate functions, and fellow legal and support professionals.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- A true “self-starter” with the ability to work independently to manage competing priorities and coordinate among a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solver who is not afraid to explore new technologies and can demonstrate a thoughtful approach to testing and incorporating new tools into a professional environment.**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Legal experience obtained in private practice or in-house.
- Familiarity with international and federal regulation of financial products and services.
- Experience with regulatory change monitoring and compliance.
