All Belong Here.At Medallia, we hire the whole person.The Role and TeamPlease note, that this role will require being on a rotating on-call shift which includes being available during evenings, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.**Responsibilities**:- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Python
- Develop and implement new functionality that is essential for orchestrating the complex rollout of Medallia Experience Cloud releases into environments across multiple data centers and geographic regions
- Maintain and improve the systems used to deploy, scale, and operate databases dynamically
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide automation solutions
- Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers in best practices for Python and automation development
- Partner with the database administration team to understand requirements and use cases
- Ensure observability of our deployment stack to achieve and maintain proper alerting and monitoring
- Be part of the SRE team’s on-call rotation for escalationsQualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience working on distributed systems or operations engineering
- 5 years of Python experience
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience operating Postgres databases
- Strong understanding of software fundamentals, development processes, and best practices
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to be part of the team's on-call rotationPreferred Qualifications
- Experience in Bash and Golang
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with a distributed team
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- System troubleshooting skills
