Help Journalists all over the world who are eager to learn new skills to tell better digital stories. Aceolution is hiring ‘News Lab Teaching Fellow’ to work with journalists and entrepreneurs to build the future of media. In this training and development mission, you will play a vital role in educating journalists on client’s tools across a variety of products including Search, Maps, Trends, 360 videos and more.Are you a Journalist with 3 to 4 years newsroom experience? Do you have:
A strong aptitude for telling stories andA track record of reporting and producing news online.Here is an opportunity to teach and share your expertise in an area of interest such as online verification, fact-checking, data journalism, data visualization, mapping and 360 video.**Job Type**: Regular, full timeDuration: 1 year (can be extended up to an additional 2 years)Work hours: 40 hours a weekWork time: 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.1. Represent client in a professional manner.2. understand and convey the complex skills needed to use client’s tools for news gathering and reporting.3. utilize their own journalism experience in a professional news environment.As a News Lab Teaching Fellow you will work in coordination with the Head of Partnerships & Training in Berlin and will also take direction and guidance from local country teams to determine priority newsrooms. This Fellowship opportunity requires significant travel and this is a one-year contract which can be extended up to an additional 2 years.As a News Lab Teaching Fellow you will:- represent client’s News Lab and the News Initiative in key newsrooms and at industry events
- focus solely on training, which will be referenced in your title (e.g. News Lab Teaching Fellow)
- spend time with the client’s News Lab to gain an understanding of best practices.
- have access to current collateral in terms of decks, videos and sites for training.
