We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead with a keen eye for detail to design testing procedures and automation strategies for our customer's software applications.
This is a temporary opportunity.
You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a
leadership or mentorship role
.
Strong programming skills, preferably with
JavaScript
, and hands-on experience in
test automation frameworks
(Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, etc.).
Proven ability to
mentor, train, and manage QA Analysts
, motivating teams to achieve high performance.
Solid knowledge of
QA methodologies, Agile frameworks, and test management best practices
.
Experience defining
QA processes, test plans, and automation strategies
for complex projects.
Familiarity with
defect tracking systems
, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/QAOps practices.
Exceptional
attention to detail
, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain quality standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working directly with US-based clients and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Mentor and coach QA team members, supporting their growth and improving overall team performance.
Lead
manual and automated testing initiatives
, ensuring QA strategies align with project requirements.
Research, propose, and implement new tools and technologies to improve QA efficiency and processes.
Define and manage
test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios
for new features, enhancements, and releases.
Oversee
defect logging, triage, and resolution tracking
, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve complex issues within service-level agreements.
Identify and drive
automation opportunities
across projects, ensuring integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Develop, document, and maintain QA processes, methodologies, and updated test cases.
Monitor test progress, deliver test reports, and introduce QA metrics to evaluate quality and progress.
Stay current on industry best practices, software changes, and evolving QA standards.
Motivate team members to meet individual, team, and departmental objectives.
Qualifications
Knowledge of automation and agile methodologies (SCRUM), ISTQB certification (CFTL is a plus).
