- *JOB SUMMARY\nThe Senior Manager, Continent Technology, Digital + Technology Transformation, Caribbean & Latin America (CALA), Global Technology, is a key member of the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) Digital + Technology Transformation Global Technology team, reporting directly to the Director, Director, Information Technology - CALA Hotel Openings & Conversions. This position is responsible for planning and executing the day-to-day Technology change management for OCPMS and integrated systems and communications activities for the CALA Continent above property and property impacted by Marriott’s Digital + Technology Transformation (DTT).\nThe primary focus of Continent Technology over the next few years will be on planning, designing, preparing and deploying DTT. DTT is a multi-year effort to transform Marriott’s technology and business process ecosystem, enabling Marriott to deliver on our vision to become the world’s favorite travel company. The DTT Technology Team was established to enable and accelerate DTT through unique approaches to strategic planning, program management, change management, experience and business process design, continent coordination, and deployment.\nThis role will be built upon our existing Technology change management and communications strategies to create and execute the Technology deployment plans throughout the program’s deployment journey, from Design to Stabilize. This role will partner closely with colleagues throughout the entire DTT Program – including (but not limited to) Integral Change Management, Global Technology, Communications, Deployment, Learning, CALA Continent stakeholders and Testing Teams. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, a proven ability to manage multiple work efforts at the same time, as well as a willingness to be tested on difficult and time-sensitive requests.\nThe Senior Manager, Continent Technology, Digital + Technology Transformation, Caribbean & Latin America (CALA), Global Technology will oversee a team of professionals supporting infrastructure, implementation/pre-work, command center support, edge case handling and beta/pilot deployments.\nKey responsibilities include\n- DTT Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Execution: Partners across disciplines and develop a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan for CALA and drives the execution of the plan with key stakeholders to migrate to OCPMS.
- DTT Deployment Plan (OCPMS and Integrations to OCPMS) + Execution: Partners with Director and the Global DTT team to develop OCPMS deployment plan for CALA properties. Drives engagement of continent subject matter experts during change impact assessments. Partners with the Global DTT team, Global Technology and Global Operations to execute the plan and related deliverables to drive the completion of milestone tasks and overall requirements. Partners closely with the Business Process, Deployment and L+D teams.
- DTT Technology Measurement + Analytics: Directs the day-to-day Technology readiness and Technology adoption activities for OCPMS, including scorecards and appropriate forums. Partners closely with the deployment team to develop reports for key MI leaders on readiness pre-cutover and the progress of adoption and highlighting Technology challenges after cutover (e.g., fatigue, confusion, lack of alignment, etc.)
- *CANDIDATE PROFILE**\nEducation and Experience\n
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience (Hotel Operations, Project Management, Technology Implementation & Training, Stakeholder Engagement, or Account Management strongly preferred).
- Previous experience with Oracle’s Property Management system and Central Reservation systems a clear advantage
- Experience on-property or above property in the Caribbean and Latin America Region, strongly preferred.
- Experience with working with international properties required
- Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills
- Strong customer service orientation strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity
- Experience working in or on behalf of (i.e., consulting) a large-scale, global enterpris
