You will be an important member of the team, with responsibilities for key deliverables and maintaining production services. This is a highly visible opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team on rapidly growing business-critical services. Our cloud platform supports multiple security services and integrates them into one scanning pipeline. The architecture is multi-tenant, elastic, scalable, highly-performant, highly-available 24/7 and designed to easily integrate new services into the infrastructure.Your day-to-dayImplement new features and support key technical initiativesWork with other technical leaders to design, document, and deliver solutions for production scaleMonitor production systems and ensure customer issues are resolved quicklyEvaluate and improve system resillence, scalability, and securityCollaborate and review solutions with other engineers to maintain high engineering standardsWhat you bring to the team5+ years of experience building highly available, high performance, high volume, scalable systemsHigh level OO Java knowledgeExperience designing and building components of a large scale cloud solutionHands-on experience with modern DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelinesProficient at troubleshooting with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk)Experience with Kubernetes and container technologiesExperience with network protocolsProficiency in Unix and Bash scriptingExperience managing production services with 24/7 support and monitoringExcellent communication skills and a genuine interest in collaborating with othersNice-to-HavesExperience with C++, Ruby/Python/PerlExperience with test frameworks (RSpec/PyUnit/JUnit)Experience with Redis/ElastiCacheWorking experience with AWSWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
