As our Backend & DevOps Engineer, you'll split your time between building and maintaining robust backend services and owning the infrastructure that keeps our platform running. You'll write production Python, own REST APIs, wrangle Mongo and Postgres, and turn around deployment issues without waiting for someone else to unblock you.This isn't a ticket-closing role. We want someone who takes ownership across the stack, asks the right questions, and brings ideas to the table whether the problem is in application code or in the pipeline.WHAT YOU'LL DOBackend EngineeringDesign, build, and maintain Python-based backend services and REST APIsOwn data models and query optimization across MongoDB and PostgreSQLWrite clean, tested, production-grade code and participate in code reviewBuild internal tooling and automation scripts to accelerate the teamContainerize services with Docker and manage deployment configsDebug and resolve application-layer issues quickly, in direct collaboration with engineeringDevOps & InfrastructureAdminister our AWS environment (EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, networking)Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines; manage self-hosted and cloud build agentsOwn our observability stack (Datadog): dashboards, alerts, log pipelines, and metricsHelp manage cloud-native services like Elasticsearch and Kafka, with a focus on deployment and monitoringImplement DevSecOps best practices: access control, secret management, auditing, and certificate renewalsMaintain SOC 2 compliance controls and contribute to audit readinessWrite clear technical docum
