We are hiring a full-time Senior / Staff Accountant to support the accounting function of a growing wealth management and advisory firm. This role is focused on taking ownership of core accounting work so higher-level team members can stay focused on advisory. While there is a strong bookkeeping component, the complexity comes from the types of clients: startups, $5M+ businesses, and family office structures. You’ll be responsible for maintaining clean books, handling reconciliations, and owning the month-end close process across multiple clients. This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands accounting fundamentals deeply and can operate independently in a fast‑moving environment. Full‑time. Fully remote. Must be ENGLISH‑SPEAKING.
Hours: 9am–5pm EST.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn day‑to‑day accounting across multiple clients, ensuring books are accurate and up to date
Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)
Manage and execute month‑end close processes
Maintain clean general ledgers and ensure proper coding of transactions
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues quickly
Support controllers and advisory accountants by taking on core accounting workload
Work across a range of client types including startups, operating businesses, and family office structures
Maintain consistency and accuracy across multiple sets of booksKey Qualifications3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar roles
Strong understanding of core accounting principles and month‑end close
Experience with reconciliations and general ledger management
Comfortable working across multiple clients or entities at once
Detail‑oriented and highly organized
Able to work independently without constant oversight
Strong written and verbal English communication
Must own and be able to use a working computer with high‑speed internetNice to haveExperience working with family offices or high‑net‑worth clients
