Our strategy has created a differentiated model in the payments landscape.The Engineering Manager's responsibilities include guiding the development team's strategic projects and handling operational aspects. They are key in fostering innovation and technical excellence on the company's platform. Additionally, this role is essential in nurturing a team-focused work culture, promoting continuous enhancement, and aiding in the team's professional development.**Job duties and Responsibilities**:- Roadmap Execution: Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure timely and budget-conscious project roadmap execution, leveraging a deep understanding of software development methodologies.
- Hands-On Technical Guidance: Provide direct support and expertise in product development and maintenance using Microsoft technologies (C#, SQL Server, NoSQL, Event Grid, Redis, Azure Functions, Microservice architecture), ready to assist the team practically as needed.
- Code Quality Assurance: Diligently monitor and review code to ensure efficiency and maintainability, fostering software excellence throughout the development process.
- Architectural Decision-Making: Provide critical technical direction and make pivotal architectural decisions aligning with the company's goals and best practices.
- Performance Management: Oversee team and individual performance through reviews, development goal setting, and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Communication Facilitation: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, management, and other departments.
- Leave Management: Handle leave requests and scheduling to ensure team well-being and consistent productivity.
- Position Management: Oversee team dynamics, including promotions, team capacity monitoring, and oversight of open roles. Collaborate with HR for timely and effective recruitment, ensuring that all necessary roles are filled to maintain optimal team performance.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve processes and adapt to changes within the organization and industry.**Experience and Qualifications**:- Academic training in systems engineering, computer science or similar.
- Advanced English.
- Problem-Solving and Technical Decision-Making: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed technical decisions that align with project objectives.
- Performance and Objective Management: Skilled in appraising performance, providing feedback, and setting team and individual goals.
- Passion for Software Quality and Best Practices: Genuine enthusiasm for ensuring software quality and advocating for good development practices.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for effective coordination within and outside the team.
