As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Providing technical expertise and support in the use of Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Designing and implementing automation scripts for SQL Server installation, defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and recoverability.
Evaluating and recommending DBMS products that align with user requirements.
Ensuring optimal database performance through proactive testing and real-time monitoring.
Monitoring and managing database backups to ensure recoverability for all production databases.**Requirements**:
**Education Qualification**:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.**General Experience**:
**To be successful in this role, you should possess**:
At least five (5) years of experience in administering on-premises and cloud-based multi-user environments, with a strong background in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems.
In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server database architecture.
Prior experience with AWS cloud-based SQL Server database administration.
Expertise in ensuring end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for MS SQL Server, utilizing both native and third-party tools.
Experience implementing industry best practices for consistent MS SQL Server installation and configuration across various environments.
Proficiency in conducting technical reviews and walkthroughs of system design documentation with development and design teams.
Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server database administration throughout the non-production, pre-production, and production lifecycles within an AWS environment.
Strong skills in testing database security and enterprise policy guidelines following established best practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages.3 years
