Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and contribute to the team's success. Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, promoting best practices in software development.
- **IBMi Engineering**:Support and enhance IBMi systems, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- **Project Management**:Manage and prioritize development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with team members and management.**Required Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of practical and technical experience with IBM i/iSeries, emphasizing RPG development and developer expertise.
- Proficiency in Incident/Problem/Change management processes and procedures.
- Skilled in troubleshooting priority incidents, facilitating blameless post-mortems, and ensuring permanent resolution of incidents.
- Experience working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, including designing, coding, testing, and delivering software to automate manual operational work (Ansible), AaaS.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with a focus on RPG, along with CL, Python, or Java.
- Availability and active participation in team on-call and call-out support, including overnight hours and weekends, as required by support needs.
