- Provides technical support to a solution to ensure smooth, on-going operation and its successful deployment to the user community
- Contributes to the running, maintenance and support of technology projects post-transition, using sound technical capabilities
- Collaborates and forms relationships with other groups to define, analyze and interpret key business processes, products and services to understand implications for support engineering activitiesYour key responsibilities
- Contributes to the on-going maintenance of existing development and related pre-production environments, using sound technical skills
- Assesses, analyzes, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change to an existing solution
- Assesses, plans and contributes to the design of release packages, contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project
- Monitors the effectiveness of installations, peer reviews reports and provides recommendations for changes
- Performs preliminary reviews for new environments and adapts findings to existing environments
- Contributes in the definition of internal control standards and procedures
- Collaborates and forms relationships with other engineering groups to gain a sound understanding of products and services in order to provide specialist technical support activities and communicate progressSkills and attributes for success
- Comprehensive programming knowledge and experience
- Has some knowledge of business processes, products and services, within agreed areas of expertise and is able to provide input and advice to key stakeholders, such as Product Owners, business sponsors and Service Delivery ManagersTo qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
- 1-4 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant experience in either an internal or external support engineering role, or similar
- Experience in customer facing roles
- Managed service experience with modern technology understanding including cloud service, virtual networks/systems
- Some experience working virtually in a globally-dispersed team
- Experience working with environment configuration management, technical and process support for new infrastructure and environmentsIdeally, you’ll also have
- Experience working with ServiceNow or similar tool.
- Experience working Agile/Scrum environment preferred.
- Experience working in Dev Ops organizations preferred.
- Experience in a professional services industry preferred.
- Experience working in TFS and TFS Release Management is preferred.
- Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2).
- Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageousWhat we look for
