The senior security engineer will support, deliver, and lead many aspects of the offensive security strategy.
This includes guidance on designing, implementing, developing, and executing solutions to enhance our security posture.
The role requires an advanced understanding of all aspects of information security and IT, including policies, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Solutions should aim to mitigate or reduce business exposure to security threats.
This will be achieved through key strategies such as:
Penetration Testing:
Security testing of applications and infrastructure from an attacker's perspective.
Responsible Disclosure:
Managing communication with security researchers (ethical hackers) to report cybersecurity issues.
Bug Bounty:
Collaborating with security researchers to find vulnerabilities and providing compensation for significant findings.
Attack Surface Analysis:
Identifying misconfigurations, obsolete infrastructure, and improving security posture and cybersecurity ratings.
Adversary Simulations:
Using adversary tradecraft to identify attack paths and test resilience against cyber-attacks.
Critical Controls Testing:
Performing tests of critical controls as requested by senior management.
Previous Experience:
7+ years in IT, security engineering, incident response, forensic analysis, compliance, or related fields.
Professional certifications such as Security+, GIAC, ECSA, CEH, CRTO, OSCP, CISSP.
