Within the Legal Department, Corporate Legal Managed Services is a legal strategic partner within Corporate Legal. The team is comprised of legal and non-legal professionals with expertise in law, corporate governance, legal entity management, process improvement, technology, digital transformation, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. This combination of expertise helps lawyers be more efficient by implementing technology solutions, utilizing digitized data, and leveraging our global scale to deliver high-quality legal services.The Data Management team focuses on the oversight, governance, and management of the firm's critical business data to reduce data risks and enhance decision making. The team consults with business partners and technology to assess and mitigate data-related operational risks in areas of appropriate use, customer privacy, consumption, and quality. The team ensures that data is available, understandable, and reliable; documents critical data in common data dictionaries to improve knowledge firm-wide; assesses, manages and maintains strategies that reduce data redundancy; and deploys tools and design processes to increase confidence in data used for decision making.
- Analyze large sets of reference data and support data normalization and transformation projects
- Create and maintain scorecards, dashboards, and other metrics and reports for management
- Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to remediate data quality issues
- Train AI/ML models to extract language and business rules from legal documents and manage the AI/ML extraction process end-to-end
- Catalog business rules and maintain a rules database
- Create and maintain data quality controls and validations
- Partner with lawyers, technology teams, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Support the lead Data Scientist, lead AI/ML analyst, and lead Project Manager in the design, development, and implementation of standard operating models for new technology products and processes**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a quantitative field
- 1-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with AI/ML and Regular Expressions (Regex) preferred
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data remediation projects preferred
- Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collegial, collaborative, and able to work individually and on teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesJ.P.
