**Backoffice Abroad** is seeking a qualified professional to join its team in the role of **Test Automation Engineer. **The Test Automation Engineer will work as part of a passionate agile project team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process. She/he will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular responsibility in the quality assurance of software development and deployment, with emphasis on the development and implementation of test automation.**About Backoffice Abroad**:

Backoffice Abroad was founded by a Canadian lawyer and a Venezuelan business administrator who harnessed their expertise and relevant local experiences to ensure that demanding employers can find high-quality, remote workers to help their business grow.**Required Competencies**:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience in functional testing and test automation
- 5+ years of experience leading QA teams
- Excellent English and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Expertise in Testing Life Cycle and Defect Life Cycle
- Have hands-on experience using Selenium
- Knowledge on Java and/or.NET coding
- Strong Database Knowledge
- Experience in test data management
- Knowledgeable on any of the major QA management tools (ALM, TFS, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team and drive strategy
- Experience with Automation Test Cases
- Experience with the creation and execution of automation scripts and reports
- Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills
- Experience in API Testing**Responsibilities**:- Collect team metrics
- Handle Internal escalations
- Present project status to senior management and stakeholders
- Handle client escalations
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients
- Provide team status update
- Analyze and provide feedback on Requirements with clients
- Serve as client’s point of contact
- Identify risks and issues
- Elaborate LOE
- Analyze and provide feedback on Requirements internally
- Solve issues with the support from other teams
- Provide status updates
- Mentor new team members
- Create and present Demo to client
- Validate results
- Identify and document defects
- Elaborate detailed execution reports**Nice to have**:- Experience in Web Services/API testing
- UFT, Lean FT, Squish, Cypress tools knowledge
- JavaScript, JQuery, VBScript
- SQL
- Knowledge on C#
- Experience with ALM, JIRA or similar tools
- Postman
- Kotlin
- Spring boot
- Cucumber
