The Credit Risk Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.Act as a "maker": Perform credit analysis, complete write-up memos - annual reviews, quarterly reviews and transactions (Medium complexity) and final obligor Risk Rating of counterparties.
Monitoring of the covered portfolio, industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to IRAU Team Leads, ICG Risk and BCMA partners.GSG TL back up. Responsible for: updating pipelines, coordinating activities among stakeholders, preparing monthly productivity metrics, training new joiners, helping TL with preliminary reviews, responsible for knowing all portfolio regulations and backing up other analysts and co-lead IA, FRC and/or regulators reviews.**Responsibilities**:- Provides analysis of a business' financial trends, indicators and other client data for presentation to the Underwriting Manager for further discussion and consideration.
- Manages the risk associated with new and existing borrowing relationships through the following:- Performs spreads of client business financial statements
- Creates Customer Accounting Systems’ through Credit Platform
- Recognizes potential client risk through early warning systems
- Performs periodic financial statement review
- Tracks established financial covenants
- Monitors compliance to borrowing base credit facility
- Accompanies Underwriting Manager on customer site visits (when appropriate)
- Compliance with Citibank policies to ensure satisfactory ratings from internal and external auditors.**Qualifications**:- 2-5 years previous experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit analysis and spreading software.
