This role supports the development and implementation of standardized engineering tools and methodologies focused on asset performance, failure elimination, and cost-effective maintenance strategies.
The role also plays a critical part in supporting OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement by identifying and addressing chronic equipment issues, performance losses, and systemic reliability risks.
The Regional Reliability Engineer collaborates closely with site-level teams, regional leadership, and global program owners to build technical capability and deliver measurable reliability results.Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Reliability & EngineeringLead deployment of reliability tools including Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO)Conduct bad actor analysis, asset criticality reviews, and strategy development for high-priority equipmentPartner with maintenance and engineering teams to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset lifeDevelop asset management plans, including preventive maintenance, spare parts, and service strategies.OEE Performance SupportAct as a key technical resource in improving OEE performance at site and regional levelsUse OEE data to identify chronic losses (availability, performance, quality) caused by equipment design, condition, or maintenance strategyPartner with operations, planners, and the systems team to validate root causes and drive equipment-level corrective actionsParticipate in OEE improvement projects, focused on eliminating top loss categories linked to reliabilityEnsure that downtime tracking, loss classification, and bad actor programs are technically sound and aligned with corporate standardsCoaching & Capability BuildingMentor site reliability and maintenance resources in applying reliability principles and toolsSupport the deployment of training related to PM optimization, failure analysis, and reliability-centered maintenanceFacilitate cross-site knowledge sharing on equipment-specific learnings and successful reliability practicesProgram Implementation & SupportSupport rollout of reliability initiatives and standards within the regionPartner with the Global Reliability Engineering Leader to align site activities with strategic prioritiesAssist in the implementation of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and precision maintenance programsCross-Functional CollaborationWork with site maintenance, production, EHS, and engineering teams to align asset strategies with safety, cost, and performance goalsCollaborate with Maintenance Specialists to ensure reliability data is reflected in work order history and condition monitoring systemsProvide reliability input during equipment upgrades, redesigns, or major capital investmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (or related technical discipline).
Mechanical Engineering preferred.Fluent English is a requirement+5 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or operations roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA, Weibull), PM program design, and equipment performance metricsExperience applying statistics and statistical analysis techniques to support problem-solving, performance monitoring, and reliability improvement efforts.Familiarity with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) frameworks and production loss analysisWorking knowledge of CMMS platforms and PdM tools (vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis, etc.)CMRP, CRE, or equivalent certification preferredExcellent communication, facilitation, and data analysis skillsMultisite or regional support experience preferredKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)% reduction in chronic equipment failuresMTBF / MTTR trends for targeted equipment% of OEE losses addressed through reliability-led actionsCompletion and effectiveness of RCAs and PM optimizationsSite capability development and tool adoption rates
