IFF is growing and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Operations Clerk to join our Operations team. At the heart of our company, we are fueled by a sense of discovery, constantly asking “what if?” That passion for exploration drives us to co-create unique scents and tastes in fine fragrance and beauty, detergents and household goods, as well as beloved food and beverages.In the role of IFF Fragrance Ingredients Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Fragrance Ingredient supply chain management team, including the Director of Strategic Initiatives and VP of Global Operations (Fragrance & Fragrance Ingredients). The role will develop business analytics and metrics to support operational decision-making. You will act as a support point for data-driven decision making by key operational functions - site and regional operations management, planning, logistics and strategic initiatives. You will be part of the IFF global operations hub located in the Netherlands. IFF is very international orientated company with more than half the employees in Hilversum coming from outside the Netherlands.This roles challenge lies firstly in the complex data structure of Ingredients manufacturing, making clear and concise reporting important for making good business decisions. Secondly, most of your direct colleagues are located outside of Europe making good communication skills very important. This role is a very good opportunity to start to learn the structure and organization of IFF while also having the opportunity to be involved in key strategic initiatives that will determine the success of the business unit in the future. The experience gained in this role will be very valuable in possible future positions within IFF.**Job Requirements**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide (and develop as needed) standard reports / analysis and presentations / business information for Fragrance Ingredient supply chain activities
- Responsible for delivering analytical support and concise data presentation in order to support the decision making process for strategic initiatives
- Manage and strengthen business information processes costs, expenses, production / inventory / planning and demand functions
- Coordinate and develop approaches to consolidate business information with other functional / business groups - Sales, Purchasing, R&D;
- Coordinate and support roll-out of business process improvements and best practices across Fragrance Ingredients sites
- Assists in Managing the budgeting process for the global manufacturing network of Fragrance
- Attend various meetings with the business development and finance teams to support with the preparation of monthly reports, business forecasts and budgets
- Proactive engagement to understand, and translate insightful information to key stakeholders.
- Serve as a key support member to the Fragrance Ingredients Operations and Management team**Required Skills and Competencies**
- The ability to work independently and as a team of a geographically diversified and fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure in order to deliver on very tight deadlines
- Good multi-tasking skills and being able to work and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to quickly grasp and learn new concepts, techniques, and information
- Ability to identify key business drivers through detailed analysis of information in order to provide commentary that is meaningful to the business unit
- Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills to manage in the matrix organizational structure
- Ability to drive improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Strong intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft excel / data warehouse and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Strong intermediate to expert knowledge in developing and managing pivot tables in excel from complex data and translate those summaries into meaningful information
- Ability to grasp and work in a complex business structure
- Knowledge of SAP R3 an added advantage
- (Chemical) plant / manufacturing experience an added advantage**Required Experience**
- Recognized degree in Business management, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, Finance or related field
- 0-2 years’ experience in business analysis
- Proven skills to compile analyze data; formulate recommendations and present data in a concise and meaningful manner
