This role is part of Finance Operations (within Tax Service line), which provides the client with immediate access to an entire finance function delivering end-to-end services from transaction processing, accounting, and monthly reporting through the statutory and tax cycle.Role:This role is expected to lead the Finance Operate team based in Buenos Aires, supporting clients in the US and LATAM.The key responsibilities include:- Leading a team based in GDS Buenos Aires, reporting to the Senior Manager.
- Overseeing daily activities of the BA team, composed of Seniors and Staff, with final review before client delivery. Activities include:
- Manual JEs
- Monthly closing reporting
- Management reports
- Monthly closing adjustments
- Close management- Preparing Financial Statements (FS), including:- GAAP to GAAP adjustments
- Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Equity, Cash Flow
- Complementary notes such as financial instruments, deferred tax, leasing, etc.- Building trust with client stakeholders and being the main contact during transition and post-go-live.
- Coaching junior team members to ensure timely and quality deliverables, leading by example in client communication and team behavior.
- Collaborating with teams in GDS India and ACR US onshore to ensure consistency across locations.
- Monitoring operational metrics and other key indicators during transition.
- Analyzing budget vs. actuals and preparing budgets for projects.Profile:The ideal candidate should have:- An Accounting degree (CPA), with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in shared service centers and/or external audits.
- Experience in transitioning complex projects, including accountability for delivering on time and within budget.
- Participation in or leadership of ERP or other IT tool implementations, understanding the project lifecycle.
- Leadership and strong communication skills, with integrity and the courage to speak candidly.
- Ability to collaborate across time zones, cultures, and teams.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess problems and risks quickly.
- Proactivity in challenging the status quo and managing uncertainty.
