Manage production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners
Act as a key contributor in the continued development of tools, frameworks & technique to improve productivity, stability, quality and promote automation
Serve as a liaison to Application owners, Production owners and GTI for the strategic initiatives
Be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with Application Development and DevOps teams to prioritize issues / bugs in production
Recommend system changes to reduce manual intervention in monitoring or managing system performance / stability / availability
Ability to effectively manage multiple streams of work and to organize self (and others) to deliver in a timely fashion
Help in defining capacity and resiliency requirement metrics and failover/BCP capabilities in partnership with business and development teams to improve reliability, stability and capacity management
Communicate with various levels of management regarding system issues. Run forums to educate and share best practices and tools to the Rates Production Management team
Technical Expertise5 - 7 years' experience in Production Support / Maintenance / DevOps roles, ideally within financial services or a large-scale technology firm
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Hands on experience in Geneos monitoring and expertise in setting up entities, samplers, rules, etc. is a mandate**Programming languages**: Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programing is a mandate. Experience in Small Talk, Python, etc. preferred**Database**: Hands on experience in ORACLE, MySQL, or SQL server with hands on experience in SQL and stored procedures
UNIX (RedHat Linux) skills including Unix Shell Scripting - ksh, perl, bash etc. are a plusGeneral CompetenciesProven complex problem solving/management skills and a strong eye for detail
Proactive individual showing eagerness to learn and a strong sense of ownership
Ability to handle multiple competing tasks in an ordered manner, prioritizing to ensure business deliverables are met even under stressful situations
Strong incident management and problem investigation skills with ability to learn new skills quickly to add value to the process
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English, providing clear problem descriptions and resolutions
